The Raw Materials Week is an annual event organised by the European Commission, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders to discuss policies and initiatives in the realm of raw materials. It serves as a platform to provide insights into ongoing EU activities in this sector.

The much-anticipated Raw Materials Week 2023 is scheduled to be held from November 13 to 17 in Brussels. This event, which gathers stakeholders from various backgrounds, will place a special focus on the European Critical Raw Materials Act. It will delve into a wide array of topics, including critical and strategic raw materials, strategic projects, investment, permitting, exploration, innovation, circularity, international partnerships, and more.

One noteworthy highlight of this week-long gathering is the 10th annual High-Level Conference of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on raw materials. Co-organised with Eumicon, this conference, scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, will explore essential subjects such as raw materials for the energy transition, investment, strategic projects, and strategic partnerships.

And in the midst of all this excitement, REDOL will be taking its place at Raw Materials Week 2023. REDOL, a forward-thinking initiative, is dedicated to transforming cities into hubs for circularity and fostering industrial-urban symbiosis. This makes it a perfect fit for the discussions surrounding raw materials, as it seeks to harness the potential of urban waste and local resources.

At this event, Marta Rodríguez, a project manager from Zaragoza University, will have the opportunity to network and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations who share a vision for a more sustainable and circular future. By joining forces with other stakeholders, REDOL aims to contribute to the ongoing conversations on critical raw materials, circularity, and innovation.

As we look ahead to Raw Materials Week 2023, we anticipate engaging discussions, innovative ideas, and opportunities to shape the future of raw material utilization. REDOL’s presence at this event demonstrates a commitment to advancing sustainable practices and fostering collaborations that drive us towards a more resource-efficient and environmentally responsible future.
